Upon first sniff, I thought I detected a hint of pecan and some herb I can't quite put my finger on, but was quickly overwhelmed by the high alcohol content. The taste didn't really give me a lot of spice, although I did get a little black pepper. I found this wine to be a bit off-balance, given the high acidity and lack of tannin. The finish is long, but not particularly pleasant, in fact, it reminded me of tire rubber. It seemed to improve a bit as it breathed, but not so much as to make me want to buy another bottle, or finish this one.

Smell is a little strawberry and blackberry tiny currant, but not strong, also some liquor and sugar hints. Well balanced taste, dry, some leafy greens some light strawberry, long dry finish. Very whole. A bit too sugary and light for food, but possibly great for a warm but not hot evening aperitif.

A true price performer. This wine is smooth throughout, with a spicy flavor from the start to the finish. A slighly spicy aroma makes this wine a classic garnacha.
